What do I wear?

Casual loose fitting clothing or Active wear is fine.

I’m out of shape, is that an issue?

No, you go at your own pace. One of the extra benefits of training at SKMA is that you will improve your fitness along with your mobility, flexibility, speed and endurance.

Is there any physical contact in training?

There is some light contact since it’s a reality based self defence system. At SKMA we have an emphasis on safety and make sure students look after each other.

Do I need safety gear?

Self defence training always has a risk of injury. Groin guards and mouthguards are a minimum requirement. Groin guards can be purchased from SKMA.

Is it suitable for women?

Absolutely. SKMA abhors violence against women in all its forms and seeks to Empower them Quickly !
